Product description

The extremely compact, focusable 400 W daylight spotlight kobold DW 400 can be equipped, as the need arises, with different reflectors or adapters to receive softboxes. The chosen attachment converts the lamp base into a fully-fledged Open

Face, PAR, or area light with softbox or lantern. Using a special adapter, the fixture can be mounted, also as a light source, on a Jr and 750 Source Four™ profile spotlight. The conversion is quick and without any tools due to a locking mechanism.

The optimized design of the reflectors achieves a high light output and a homogeneous illumination. These daylight fixtures impress with their solid design, compact dimensions and maximum reliability for all applications in the studio and on

location. The housing is made of high-strength aluminium and is equipped with a mount for single-ended HMI/MSR lamps with a high degree of efficiency. The igniter unit is airtight and guarantees cold and hot starts even in a humid environment.

Further characteristics are the light weight and compact dimensions, no stray light, heat-resistant ceramic safety glass, wide range of accessories, IP54 rating (with mounted reflector).

Fixture DW 400, 6 m (19.5 ft.) lamp cable, 16 mm (5/8“) stand mount, without reflector and lamp (operating instructions, carton packaging).

Application

With the selected reflector or adapter, the focusable, weatherproof multipurpose fixture DW 400 can be operated as a fully-fledged Open Face, PAR, or area light with a softbox or lantern, or as a light source for Jr and 750 Source Four™ profile

spotlight. Equipped with an Open Face and PAR reflector, it complies with IP 54 rating and is ideal for all broadcast and production applications indoors and outdoors, even in a humid environment.
